Primary Individualised Spelling Linking Classwork and Homework

Why was this partnership activity necessary - concerns, aims, difficulties etc?
To motivate poor spellers to learn spelling in multisensory way, linking common word list to 'word families' (on an individualised program).

Where does this partnership operate?
Glendinning Primary School and at pupils' homes.

When does this work happen?
In school. At home.

How does the scheme work? How is it maintained, sustained and evaluated?
It works by informing parents of progress of child and by giving detailed instructions for homework with fun reinforcement activities in class.

What are the benefits? What difference does this partnership make?
Pupils are motivated by rewards of parents' approval and peer group competition.
