Why was this partnership activity necessary - concerns, aims, difficulties etc?

  • Pupil behaviour of senior P6 - 7 pupils identified as a concern by Class Teacher plus SMT
  • A different proactive partnership approach was recognised as being needed to change behaviour of these pupils

  • Between home, family and school

When does this work happen?

  • Within the class after targets have been identified and agreed by pupil and teacher on a Friday to start on a Monday the following week

How does the scheme work? How is it maintained, sustained and evaluated?

  • Targets are identified and agreed by pupil and teacher which will improve behaviour and attitude of pupil
  • Agreed on a Friday pm to start week positively
  • Pupil takes home PIC to involve parent
  • Traffic lights system of colours for each day's target
  • Teacher signs, chats with pupil and parent signs PIC
  • A weekly evaluative comment is made by all of us

  • Sharing of success and support between home and school is recognised by teacher, pupil and parent
  • Improved communication between home and school
